The Vagamon ULtrail course is one of the most scenic trail-running routes in South India. The route passes through: rolling meadows, mountain ridges, tea plantations, forest paths, jeep tracks, valley descents, misty hills, and open grasslands overlooking the Vagamon landscape. Vagamon’s unique terrain offers a varied trail-running experience with: runnable estate roads, technical trail climbs, exposed ridge traverses, muddy sections depending on weather, steep ascents and descents, and panoramic viewpoints throughout the course. The 60K and the newly added 100K are especially demanding because of sustained elevation gain, changing underfoot conditions, and cumulative fatigue from point-to-point mountain terrain. Vagamon’s nickname “Scotland of Asia” feels especially earned during the ULtrail—with runners crossing cool mountain grasslands under drifting mist and wide valley views.
