Coastal Karnataka’s Premier Marathon Along Rivers, Beaches, and the Arabian Sea
The Mangalore Marathon is an annual road running festival held in Mangaluru, Karnataka, usually during November. Since its inaugural edition in 2022, the event has experienced remarkable growth, becoming one of the most prominent marathons in coastal India. The race starts and finishes at the iconic Mangala Stadium and takes runners through picturesque stretches featuring riverfront roads, coastal landscapes, beaches, and views of the Arabian Sea.
The event is organized by the Mangalore Runners Club and has steadily increased participation year after year. The 2025 edition attracted over 6,000 runners from across India and multiple countries including Australia, Japan, Denmark, and Nigeria, reinforcing Mangaluru’s growing reputation as a destination running city.
