The Tata Mumbai Marathon is an annual international road running event held in Mumbai, Maharashtra, usually on the third Sunday of January. Organized by Procam International, the marathon has become India’s flagship distance running event and holds World Athletics Gold Label status.
Widely regarded as the race that sparked India’s modern recreational running boom, the event attracts over 60,000 participants across multiple race categories. Elite athletes from Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Eritrea, and India regularly compete in the marathon and half marathon divisions, while thousands participate for fitness, charity, and community causes.
