The Bengaluru Midnight Marathon was founded in 2007 by Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor with the vision of creating a unique sporting event that could simultaneously promote fitness and raise funds for charitable causes. What began as an ambitious experiment by a small group of Rotary members quickly captured public imagination and grew into Asia’s only midnight marathon. Over the years, the event has welcomed participants from across India and around the world while supporting projects related to healthcare, education, livelihood development, environmental initiatives, scholarships, school meal programs, spinal and eye surgeries, and numerous other community causes. Through seventeen successful editions and more than a decade of continuous growth, the Bengaluru Midnight Marathon has become one of India’s most distinctive endurance events and an enduring symbol of Bengaluru’s civic spirit and social responsibility.
