India’s Most Prestigious Half Marathon and a Global Symbol of Running, Philanthropy, and Social Impact
The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon is an annual international road race held in New Delhi, usually during October. Organized by Procam International, the race was launched in 2005 and quickly became one of Asia’s premier distance-running events. Over the years, the event has attracted Olympic champions, world record holders, world champions, and thousands of amateur runners from India and abroad, earning recognition as one of the fastest and most competitive half marathons in the world.
What began as an ambitious attempt to introduce mass-participation road running to the streets of India’s capital has evolved into a citywide movement that celebrates health, fitness, equality, inclusion, and social responsibility. The race has played a major role in shaping Delhi’s running culture while inspiring the growth of running clubs, endurance events, and recreational fitness communities across North India. Today, the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon is widely regarded as one of the crown jewels of the global road-running calendar.
