The 18th edition of the TCS World 10K Bengaluru brought another memorable morning of racing to the city, with fast times, big crowds, and standout performances all around. With around 36,000 runners taking part across categories, Bengaluru once again felt full of running energy from start to finish. The biggest headline of the day came from Burundi’s Rodrigue Kwizera, who stormed to victory in 27:31, breaking the men’s event record and putting together one of the fastest performances ever seen on the course.

Kwizera’s win felt especially special given his history with the race. After finishing seventh here a few years ago, he returned stronger and delivered exactly the performance he had hoped for. In the women’s international race, Florence Niyonkuru of Rwanda had her own breakthrough moment, winning in 30:45 on debut and announcing herself in a big way. Both elite races were packed with quality, with tight finishes and strong depth across the top field, making it another exciting edition for fans lining Bengaluru’s streets.

It was also a strong day for Indian runners. Harmanjot Singh finished as the fastest Indian man in 29:13, while Sanjivani Jadhav claimed her third straight Indian women’s title with 35:01. Beyond the podium, what continues to make the TCS World 10K special is the atmosphere around it. From elite athletes chasing records to thousands of everyday runners taking over the roads together, the race has become one of the highlights of the Indian running calendar, and this year’s edition only added to that story.
